The DIY Committee Guide website provides a central point of access to a wide range of practical, user-friendly resources has now been restructured to provide directional support for organisations working to implement the Code of Good Governance.
The Code, which was launched earlier this year by Minister Margaret Ritchie, has been largely welcomed by organisations as it is a key piece of work in developing standards of good governance in the voluntary and community sector. All of the DIY Committee Guide's online resources have been mapped to each of the seven principles of the Code to assist groups to use the Code as a tool to develop good governance.
The seminar will not only guide you through the restructured site but also participants will get the opportunity in the workshops to see how to use the website to tackle governance issues.
The event takes place at NICVA on 16 January 2009, with registration from 10.30am and the seminar running from 11.00am to 1.00pm.
This event is free, however, if you reserve a place and do not attend, you will be charged a cancellation fee of £20.
If you would like to attend, please contact Georgie Finlay at NICVA on 028 9087 7777 or georgie.finlay@nicva.org
