This month's round up
The end of the summer brings a bumper sized issue filled with news, events, training and of course, funding. On the funding front, the announcement of an information seminar on the £15 million Modernisation Fund caused a near stampede at the event which took place at NICVA in July. With DSD clearly underestimating the interest, the venue was packed and some people chose not to bother trying to squeeze in. Slides from the presentation and an interview with DSD's Jack O'Connor are available on the NICVA website for anyone who didn't manage to get in.

The News section continues to bring tips and hints for busy staff and this month we have a warning about neglecting your governing document from the charity advice team, plus news on the development of a reserves policy and a new advice note on conflicts of interest. There's also a useful section on new web tools to make your Internet experience more valuable.
After the summer lull (what summer?) there are lots of events and training coming up with our new training calendar really getting into full swing, and the possibility of bespoke training for organisations that cannot attend the scheduled events.
As usual we welcome your submissions to NICVAnews, so if you have an event, publication or news item to share or you'd like to be our featured member organisation, just let us know.
