NICVA has launched an exciting new programme of scheduled and consultancy training.

New Training Calendar Launched

A calendar of scheduled training events has been launched for 2008-2009.

Workshops are open to anyone in the sector although there will be maximum numbers for each workshop. The cost covers delivery, refreshments and resources. NICVA members benefit from a 30% discount on all training courses.

New programmes include Winning Contracts, Strategic Planning and getting results, Time Management and Presentation Skills.

Consultancy Training

As well as the scheduled training, NICVA can offer bespoke training courses and programmes for individual organisations. This training is tailored to the organisation’s specific needs and is delivered by specialists in the field.

NICVA's areas of expertise are:

• fundraising (for example, A strategic approach to fundraising or Practical skills in making funding applications)
• governance (for example, Committees and Trustee responsibilities or Charitable status and charity law reform update)
• recruitment and selection
• management, and
• policy.

Provision of this training is dependent on capacity and availability of staff to deliver at time of request.

Cost

The cost of each of the scheduled courses is on the training calendar. Cost of the consultancy training will be discussed on request.

If you are unable to attend the training you must inform NICVA five working days in advance otherwise you will be invoiced the full cost of the course.

The dates for each course are subject to change as provision depends on having the minimum numbers to run the course.
